RAW Quick Hits! – 7/23/18; The Women Evolve

Raw kicks off with Mr. McMahon, Triple H, and Stephanie McMahon in the ring to make a historic announcement.

The huge announcement to kick of Raw is that at the end of October there will be an all Womens PPV titled, Evolution. The historic PPV is already stacked as The Raw and SmackDown Live Women’s Championship will be defended along with the NXT Women’s Championship and the Finals of the second ever Mae Young Classic. Huge news.

B Team def. Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt to retain the Raw Tag Team Championship:Nothing too exciting about this one. The finish came when Bo sent Bray into Matt who was tied up on the ground with Axel. The momentum of the misstep caused Matt to turn over with his shoulders pinned and Axel getting the win. After the match, Bray and Matt applauded the B Team before dropping them with a Twist of Fate and Sister Abigail respectively.

Sasha Banks and Bayley def. two Jobbers via Submission. Seems like all is well between the two friends after Sasha professed her love for Bayley.

Kevin Owens vowed to get revenge on Braun Strowman for throwing him off the steel cage at Extreme Rules. Constable Corbin hired Jinder Mahal to bring calmness to the Monster Among Men which only resulted in Jinder and Sunil getting Braun’s hands.

Mickie James def. Natalya

Phase one of Kevin Owens getting revenge on Braun Strowman has begun. At SummerSlam Owens and Strowman will do battle once again. This time if Kevin wins the match in any fashion he becomes the new holder of the Money in the Bank contract.

Mojo Rawley def. Tyler Breeze

Finn Balor and Drew McIntyre were having a great match until Dolph Ziggler interfered. Both men beat down Balor until Seth Rollins comes down to make the save. Raw GM Kurt Angle came out to make a match for right now, Ziggler and McIntyre vs. Balor and Rollins.

Rollins and Balor def. Ziggler and McIntyre after Rollins hit the Curbstomp on Ziggler for the win in a fantastic tag match.

Ember Moon def. Liv Morgan

The entire night Elias has been trying to promote his new Album, Walk With Elias which is available on iTunes and Spotify. Unfortunately, no one is giving him the chance to do so.

Roman Reigns def. Bobby Lashley in a great match to close out the show. Both men threw everything in their arsenal at each other for the chance to face Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam for the Universal Championship. It was a back and forth match that kept the fans on their on the edge of their seat. This match was way better then their Extreme Rules match eight days before. In the end, Roman was able to hit Lashley for the win. Reigns will be going on to SummerSlam to face Brock, who will be on Raw next week, for the Universal Championship.

Raw ends with Roman Reigns celebrating in the ring while Lashley struggles to make his way up the ramp. What did you think of tonight’s Raw? Are you happy with the Universal Championship match set for SummerSlam? Comment below or reach out to us on Social Media:
